NHS or Private
Whilst still remaining committed to the NHSwe are unable to take on any new NHS patients at this time.
We provide a wide range of Private Treatments including white fillings, tooth whitening, implant restorations and other advanced procedures. A full list of our Private fees is available on request.
All our dentists also are registering new patients onto our Private Dental Plan
Robin Thompson only treats patients on a Private basis and should you wish to see him then you would need to join our Dental plan.
Any treatment offered will be discussed and agreed with you in advance and estimates will be given.

What does our plan include?
Level One cover costs £10.64 per month and covers:
2 dental examinations per year
Level Two cover costs £16.90 per month and covers:
2 dental examinations per year
2 hygiene appointments per year
10% discount on most treatment fees
Level Three cover costs £22.98 per month and covers:
2 dental examinations per year
4 hygiene appointments per year
10% discount on most treatment fees
All levels additionally cover:
all small x-rays
priority emergency appointments
routine oral cancer screening
diet & oral hygiene advice
membership card with 24 hour helpline numbers for dental emergencies at home or abroad
worldwide Supplementary Dental Injury and Emergency Insurance
Patients Exempt from paying for NHS Dental Treatments
If you think that you may be exempt from paying for NHS treatment then please inform the Dentist before starting treatment and provide proof of exemption.
If you are receiving any of the following then you may be exempt from payment:
Income Support, Income-based Job Seekers Allowance,
Pension Credit guarantee credit, Income Related Employment Support Allowance, Tax Credit, Universal Credit
Pregnant, Had a baby in the last 12 months, Under 26years old, Have an HC2 certificate.
Paying for Treatment
Patients are asked to pay for their treatment at each appointment. Payments can be made by cash, cheque, debit or credit card, however we prefer debit or credit card. We are sorry, but due the the very high charges from American Express, we do not accept their cards.
Appointments
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice. If you miss an appointment without providing prior notice, a charge will be made.
Emergency Appointments
The practice has time set aside everyday for emergency appointments. If you call the practice first thing in the morning we will make every effort to offer you an appointment the same day.
Out of Hours Care
Out with the normal practice hours, emergency care is covered and provided by NHS 24. This can be accessed by calling NHS 24 on: 111
Access and Facilities
The practice does not have any off street parking, however there is a parking bay directly outside the practice which you can park in for up to 30 minutes and across the road where there is no time limit. Both of these are free to park in.
We can accommodate wheelchairs in the practice. Access is either using our portable ramp at the main entrance or using the lane at the side of the practice.
We have a toilet which has been adapted for use by disabled people.
We have a child’s area with some books. This is not supervised and parents are responsible for their own children. Children cannot be left in the waiting room during parents treatment appointments.
