West Port Private Dental Plan With DPAS
What does our plan include?
Level One allows private registration with your dentist, including 2 examinations per year with oral cancer screening as standard, and necessary x-rays, as well as emergency appointments. £13.15 per month.
Level Two includes private registration with your dentist, 2 dental examinations per year with oral cancer screening as standard, x-rays, a 10% discount for treatment fees (with exclusions for implants, orthodontics and cosmetic treatments) and up to 2 maintenance appointments with our hygienist per year. Emergency appointments included. £22.09 per month.
Level Three includes private registration with your dentist, 2 dental examinations per year with oral cancer screening as standard, x-rays, a 10% discount for treatment fees (with exclusions for implants, orthodontics and cosmetic treatments) and up to 4 maintenance appointments with our hygienist per year. Emergency appointments included. £30.03 per month.
All levels additionally cover:
membership card with 24 hour helpline numbers for dental emergencies at home or abroad
Membership to the Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme. See below for handbook download with further information. Should you ever need to make use of this as a plan member, the phone number to use is 03300 532 061.
Patients Exempt from paying for NHS Dental Treatments
If you think that you may be exempt from paying for NHS treatment then please inform the Dentist before starting treatment and provide proof of exemption.
If you are receiving any of the following then you may be exempt from payment:
Pension Credit, Income Related Employment Support Allowance, Universal Credit, Pregnant, Had a baby in the last 12 months, Under 26years old, Have an HC2 certificate.
Paying for Treatment
Patients are asked to pay for their treatment at each appointment. Payments can be made by cash, debit or credit card.
Appointments
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice. If you miss an appointment without providing 24 hours prior notice, a charge will be made.
Emergency Appointments
The practice has time set aside every day for emergency appointments, generally between 12:15 and 1pm. Please call the practice as early as possible from 9am and we will make every effort to offer you an appointment the same day.
Out of Hours Care
Outwith the normal practice hours, emergency care is covered and provided by NHS 24. This can be accessed by calling NHS 24 on: 111
Access and Facilities
The practice does not have any off street parking, however there is a parking bay directly outside the practice for up to 30 minutes free parking and free on street parking across the road with no time limit.
We can accommodate wheelchairs in the practice. Access is either using our portable ramp at the main entrance or using the lane at the side of the practice.
We are currently in the process of reviewing ways in which to improve access for those with disabilities where possible. This can be challenging in an older building and we welcome any suggestions from patients as to how we may be able to help further.
Our toilet facilities have been adapted for accessibility.
